DESCRIPTION:SPECIAL 5th FRIDAY Dance- One time only! \n\n\n\nLocation: West End Ballroom \n\n\n\nMusic: Missing Lynx with Oliver Scanlon on fiddle\, mandolin\, feet & Alex Fortier on piano (Touring!) \n\n\n\nCaller: Adina Gordon (Touring!) \n\n\n\nAdmission: $10 members/students\, $15 non-members\, 14 & under free. \n\n\n\nBeginner’s Workshop: Arrive early at 6:45pm to learn or review basic steps. \n\n\n\nRole Terms: Larks and Robins \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nWith years of combined experience playing for contra dances\, Missing Lynx fills more sonic space than you might expect from a duo. Oliver Scanlon (fiddle\, viola\, mandolin\, feet\, vocals) and Alex Fortier (piano\, keyboards) blend their talents to drive a dynamic dance engine. Prepare for fresh tunes from a variety of northeast folk repertoires as the duo brings expert execution\, tight arrangements\, gentle lift and smoothness to your dance! \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nSchedule notes: There is no regularly scheduled WEB 4th Saturday evening or LGRA 2nd Sunday afternoon dance in July 2026. 2nd Sunday afternoon dances at LGRA will resume on September 13. We continue to dance throughout the summer at WEB\, which is air conditioned.
